Home Loans vs. LAP: Choosing the Right Option

Home Loans vs. LAP: Choosing the Right Option

Imagine you need money.

There are two main ways to borrow using real estate.

A home loan is for buying, building, or fixing a house, using the house itself as collateral.

It has lower interest rates and lasts longer, like 30 years.

Loan against Property, or LAP, lets you borrow using your existing property, for things like starting a business or paying a bill.

LAP has higher interest rates and shorter terms, around 15-20 years.

The best choice depends on what you need the money for and how long you want to pay it back.
