Sreelekha Criticizes Media, Supports BJP's Mayor Decision
R. Sreelekha, a former police chief and BJP member, said she is not upset that she was not chosen as the Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram.
She supports the party's decision to elect V.V. Rajesh as Mayor.
Sreelekha will continue working as a Councillor for her ward.
She also said she will not run in the upcoming state elections.
The BJP recently won control of the city's government after many years.
Sreelekha believes the party made the right choice for Mayor and will support the new Mayor.
She also said she was happy to work for the BJP and her community.
However, she criticized some media outlets for trying to create problems and spread false information.

Sreelekha initially rejected the offer to contest the local body polls but agreed after party leaders assured her she would be considered for the Mayor post.
