BJP Congratulates Prashant Kishor Ahead of Bankipur By-Election Victory
In Bihar, a state in India, a big election called a by-election is happening for a place called Bankipur.
A man named Prashant Kishor, who runs a new political group, is winning a lot of votes.
The leader of the big party there, Sanjay Saraogi, said he is happy for Prashant and will look at why his own party got fewer votes.
The seat was empty because the previous winner, Nitin Nabin, moved to a higher job in the national parliament.
This election is important because it shows that people might want a different kind of politics in that area.
Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi congratulated Jan Suraaj candidate Prashant Kishor in advance as he leads the Bankipur Assembly by-election.
Kishor is ahead by 18,964 votes over BJP's Neeraj Kumar after 29 of 31 counting rounds.
The by-election was triggered when former seat holder Nitin Nabin vacated the seat after being elected to the Rajya Sabha.
Bankipur, a former BJP stronghold, has been represented by Nitin Nabin for five consecutive terms.
The result marks a significant challenge to BJP's dominance in the constituency amid a new political movement led by Kishor.
