INSPACe Proposes 7 Space Labs at Indian Universities
INSPACe, which helps grow India's space sector, wants to create special space labs called 'Antariksh Prayogshala' in seven universities across the country.
These labs will help students learn about space technology in a practical way.
INSPACe will help pay for these labs, covering up to 75% of the cost, with a maximum of ₹5 crore per university.
Only universities that are at least five years old, have a good ranking, and teach space technology can apply.
This will help India train more people for jobs in the growing space industry, which is expected to become much bigger in the next few years.
INSPACe proposes setting up 7 space labs (Antariksh Prayogshala) at higher education institutions across India.
The initiative aims to provide hands-on training and exposure to students pursuing space technology courses.
INSPACe will provide financial support of up to 75% of the project cost, capped at ₹5 crore per institution.
Eligible institutions must be at least five years old, have an NIRF ranking under 200, and offer space technology courses.
The initiative is intended to boost India's space economy, which is projected to grow from $8 billion to $44 billion by 2033.
