Tokyo Disneyland to Raise Ticket Prices in October
Tokyo Disneyland and its sister park, DisneySea, are raising the cost of tickets and some food items.
Starting in October, a single adult ticket will cost 12,400 yen instead of 10,900 yen, which is about a 14% jump.
Children’s tickets will also go up a little, and student passes will be capped at 12,000 yen.
Prices can be higher on busy days like holidays and school breaks.
The parks say the hikes are needed because wages and maintenance costs have gone up, and they also follow a big increase in Japan’s tourist visa fees.
Adult ticket price rises from 10,900 to 12,400 yen in October.
Child tickets (4‑12) increase from 5,600 to 5,900 yen; student passes capped at 12,000 yen.
Ticket prices vary by date, higher on public holidays and school vacations.
Food and beverage prices at the parks also go up, about $1 per item (5‑10%).
The hike follows a recent increase in Japan’s visa fees for foreign tourists.
