D. Raja Condemns Restrictions Ahead of Jantar Mantar Protest

D. Raja, a leader of the Communist Party of India, criticised steps that he said could make it harder for people to protest.

An October 10 demonstration was planned at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

Reports said some trains were cancelled and services at many metro stations were affected.

Raja said he believed people would still find a way to join the protest.

Opposition parties also planned to meet to discuss alleged problems with the electoral process.

They have called those alleged problems “vote chori.”

The INDIA bloc planned to discuss what steps to take and how to seek a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu.

The articles do not provide the government’s explanation for the reported restrictions.
