Retired CIDCO Employee Accuses Son, Daughter-In-Law of Misappropriating ₹10 Lakh

Retired CIDCO Employee Accuses Son, Daughter-In-Law of Misappropriating ₹10 Lakh

An elderly grandfather in India says his son and daughter-in-law took money that did not belong to them.

The grandfather, who is 69 years old, saved ₹10 lakh for his medical treatment and daily needs.

He had put the money in a joint bank account with his son and daughter-in-law because they promised to take care of him and his wife.

Later, they stopped taking care of the elderly couple, so the grandparents had to live with their younger son.

When the grandfather went to the bank to take out money, he was shocked to learn that ₹10 lakh had been withdrawn without his knowledge.

When he asked his son and daughter-in-law about it, they allegedly abused and threatened him.

The police registered a case after hearing his complaint.

They are now checking bank records to find out how the money was withdrawn.

Special laws exist to protect senior citizens and parents from such treatment, and this case is being handled under those laws.
