Kerala Doctor Rates South Indian Breakfasts
A doctor from Kerala named Dr. Hafisa Salim Daber made a video where she rated six popular South Indian breakfast dishes.
She used things like calories, how quickly the food makes your blood sugar go up, and how much protein and fiber it has to give each dish a score.
Idli got the highest score of 9 out of 10 because it's light and good for your tummy.
Parotta with beef got the lowest score of 0 out of 10 because it's high in bad fats and doesn't have enough good stuff like fiber.
She said you can still eat your favorites, but you should enjoy them in moderation.
Dr. Hafisa Salim Daber rated six South Indian breakfast dishes based on nutritional value.
Idli and dosa scored highly (9/10 and 8/10 respectively) due to their fermentation benefits.
Puri with sabzi received a low score (4/10) because it's deep-fried and lacks fiber and protein.
Parotta with beef got the lowest score (0/10) due to its high calorie and low nutrient content.
Dr. Daber emphasized enjoying favorite dishes in moderation for a balanced diet.
