Canada Considers Joining US 'Golden Dome' Missile Defense
Canada is talking with the United States about joining its Golden Dome missile defense system.
This system is designed to shoot down missiles in space before they can reach the ground.
Canada is looking at this because it sees a growing threat of missiles.
The US says this helps protect them, but China worries it will start an arms race and wants the US to stop the program.
Canada is in high-level talks to potentially join the US 'Golden Dome' missile defense system.
Prime Minister Mark Carney stated Canada is considering partnership with the US on the project.
The 'Golden Dome' is a space-based shield inspired by Israel's Iron Dome.
The system aims to intercept missiles in the early stages of flight.
Canada is also in talks with European allies for partnership in bolstering defense capabilities.
