Ganesh Idol Transport Incident Averted in Mumbra, Mumbai Tragedy Reported
A Ganesh idol was being moved on a trolley in Mumbra when one wheel slipped.
The people traveling with it quickly stopped the trolley.
This prevented the idol from falling and hurting anyone.
Police brought machines to help lift the idol safely.
After about three hours, the idol was placed safely on another trolley.
The procession then continued.
In a different incident in south Mumbai, a much larger idol fell on people.
Two people died and five were injured, possibly because of a technical problem with its support system.
A Ganesh idol trolley wheel slipped in Mumbra around 1 a.m. on August 29.
Mandal members stopped the trolley before the idol fell, and no casualties were reported.
Mumbra police helped use a hydraulic trolley and JCB to lift the idol after nearly three hours.
The damaged trolley was replaced and the idol’s journey resumed, although the cause of the wheel failure remains unclear.
