Shri Salasar Balaji Temple Construction Advances in Bengaluru
A new temple for Shri Salasar Balaji, a special form of Lord Hanuman, is being built in Bengaluru.
The temple is unique because it shows Hanuman with a beard and moustache, which is not common in South India.
The people building the temple want to connect it to two important places from the Ramayana: Ayodhya, where Lord Ram was born, and Kishkindha, where Hanuman met Ram.
They are using the same special stone and architects as the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
To raise money, they held a play called 'Chakravyuh' from the Mahabharata.
The temple is expected to be finished by 2028, and everyone is working together to make it a special place for devotion and inspiration.
The Shri Salasar Balaji Temple in Bengaluru is being constructed as a spiritual bridge between Ayodhya and Kishkindha, two sacred sites from the Ramayana.
The temple is devoted to Shri Salasar Balaji, a form of Lord Hanuman with a beard and moustache, rarely depicted in South India.
Construction uses Bansi Paharpur stone and is guided by architects from the Somapura family, the same lineage involved in the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
A fundraising event featuring the Hindi theatrical production 'Chakravyuh' was held to support the temple's construction, which is expected to be completed by 2028.
The temple project is a collective effort involving trustees, devotees, and contributors from across India, with various initiatives and milestones already achieved.
