Shedeur Sanders Signs with Browns, Contract Compared to NIL
Shedeur Sanders, a quarterback, just signed his first contract with the Cleveland Browns.
It's a four-year deal, but it pays less than what he made through deals promoting his name, image, and likeness in college.
Because he was drafted later than expected, his contract is not as big as those of the top picks.
The Browns have many quarterbacks, so Sanders will have to compete to play, but he has a chance to show what he can do.
Shedeur Sanders signed a four-year, $4.6 million rookie contract with the Browns.
His contract was predetermined based on his fifth-round draft position.
Sanders's NIL deals in college reportedly valued him at $6.5 million.
Compared to other top draft picks, Sanders's contract is modest.
Sanders is entering a competitive quarterback room with a chance to compete for playing time.
