Odisha to add 15 more POCSO courts
The Odisha Government in India has decided to set up 15 more special courts to handle cases of sexual offences against children.
These courts are for cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The government will ask for permission to open these courts next year.
They are also looking into opening more regular courts in different areas as suggested by the Orissa High Court.
Right now, not every district in Odisha has a POCSO court, which is needed according to the law.
