Chhattisgarh Offers 10% Job Quota for Ex-Agniveers
The Chhattisgarh government has created a special plan to help former Agniveer soldiers find jobs.
They will get 10% of the jobs in certain government positions, like police officers and forest guards.
To qualify, the soldiers must have served for four years in the Indian Armed Forces.
The government hopes this will give these soldiers good job opportunities and also help the police, forest, and prison departments by using the soldiers' training and experience.
The plan was approved by the state cabinet and follows a promise made by the chief minister earlier this year.
Chhattisgarh government approved a 10% job reservation for ex-Agniveers in Class III posts.
Eligible posts include police constables, forest guards, and jail warders.
Ex-Agniveers must have completed four years of service in the Indian Armed Forces.
The decision aims to enhance employment opportunities and utilize their skills.
The cabinet also formed a committee to ensure fertilizer availability for farmers.
