Maruti Suzuki Q1 FY27 Sales Surge 36%
Maruti Suzuki India sold a lot more cars in the first quarter of its 2027 financial year than it did a year earlier.
The company made 682,724 cars, which is the most it has ever sold in a single quarter.
Most of the extra cars were SUVs, which grew by almost 45%.
The company also exported more cars, up 28.6%.
Because of all this, Maruti Suzuki now owns 41.2% of the car market in India, the biggest share it has ever had.
The company earned a profit of about ₹3,352 crore, a little more than analysts expected.
However, higher prices for parts and supply problems from global tensions made it harder to keep profits high.
Maruti Suzuki also said it will invest in making compressed biogas for cars, hoping to use cleaner fuel in the future.
Maruti Suzuki India’s consolidated net sales rose 36.4% YoY to ₹53,950 crore in Q1 FY27.
Total vehicle sales hit an all‑time high of 682,724 units, up 29.3% from the previous year.
SUV sales surged 44.6% YoY, driving the company’s domestic market share to 41.2%, a 2.3‑point gain.
Exports increased 28.6%, contributing to the overall sales growth.
The company’s net profit was ₹3,352 crore, slightly above Bloomberg’s estimate.
