CM Seeks Death Penalty for Gateman in Murshidabad Train Accident
A train hit a school vehicle at a level crossing in Murshidabad, killing five people, including four students.
The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, visited the families of the victims and promised to expedite the investigation.
He also asked for the gateman, who is accused of negligence, to be given the death penalty.
The Chief Minister gave each family Rs 5 lakh and said the government would help them.
He also said that safety measures at the level crossing would be improved to prevent similar accidents in the future.

Two people injured in the accident are still undergoing treatment at Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital.
