10-Year Jail Term Sought for Impeached South Korean President
Yoon Suk Yeol, the former president of South Korea, is in big trouble.
He tried to put the country under martial law, which is like a strict set of rules to control people, but it only lasted a few hours.
The lawmakers in the National Assembly voted to stop it.
Later, the parliament, which is controlled by the opposition, impeached him, which means they removed him from his job.
Now, he is on trial for this and other things he did while he was president.
The prosecutors want him to go to jail for 10 years.
They say he abused his power and didn't say he was sorry.
The court will decide his punishment soon.
