Hyderabad Police Deport Ugandan National for Visa Overstay and Drug Activities
The Hyderabad police caught a 27-year-old woman from Uganda who was staying in India illegally.
Her visa had expired, and she was hanging out with people who sell drugs.
She admitted she didn't have a valid visa and had been staying in India for a long time.
She traveled to many places in India, including Chennai, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, and made friends with drug sellers, which led her to start selling drugs to make money.
The police sent her back to Uganda and made sure she can't come back.
The police also advised people to stay away from drugs and to report any drug-related activities they know about.
Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) deported a 27-year-old Ugandan national, Juliana Victor Nabitaka, for overstaying her visa and involvement in drug activities.
Nabitaka arrived in India on a tourist visa in February 2024 and traveled extensively, residing in Chennai, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, where she associated with drug traffickers.
Her visa expired on 18 January 2025, but she continued to stay in India illegally and was involved in drug distribution in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
She was apprehended by H-NEW while moving with a known drug peddler and admitted to overstaying her visa and lacking necessary permits.
Nabitaka was deported with the assistance of the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Hyderabad, and was officially blacklisted from re-entering India.
