BRS Seeks Supreme Court Action on Defecting MLCs
BRS party leaders are taking legal action against some members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) who switched to the Congress party.
They're going to the Supreme Court to try to get these MLCs removed from their positions.
This is because the Supreme Court told the Assembly Speaker to deal with politicians who change parties.
The BRS working president, KTR, will file the case himself.
Six MLCs from BRS have joined the Congress, and BRS believes they should have resigned.
BRS leaders plan to petition the Supreme Court.
The petition seeks disqualification of Legislative Council members who joined Congress.
BRS is responding to a Supreme Court directive on party-switching.
KTR will personally file the petition in Delhi.
