Maharashtra Sanctions ₹426 Crore for Hinjawadi Roads, Connectivity

The Maharashtra government approved ₹426 crore to improve roads in Hinjawadi.

Hinjawadi has heavy traffic and needs better connections to metro stations.

Officials plan to build a 19.1-kilometre network for people travelling between metro stations, offices, homes and villages.

The routes may include sidewalks, cycle lanes, crossings, lights and signs.

Buses, shuttles, auto stands, cycle sharing and parking are also being considered.

Heavy construction vehicles will be restricted on internal roads during busy morning and evening hours.

Officials are also planning better drainage, water and sewage pipelines, waste collection and security cameras.

The district collector said he will inspect the area next week to check progress.
