Kochhar Couple Challenges ED Property Attachment
Chanda Kochhar and her husband Deepak Kochhar are in trouble.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached their properties worth ₹70 crore because they are being investigated for a money laundering case related to the Videocon Group.
The Kochhars think the ED did not follow the correct legal process, so they went to the Bombay High Court to challenge this.
The court has asked the ED to respond and will hear their case on December 16.
The ED believes the Kochhars got money from Videocon in exchange for approving a big loan.
Both the ED and the CBI are investigating this case.
