India to Boost Domestic Production of 100 Products
India wants to make more things at home to become more self-reliant.
The government is picking 100 products where India buys a lot from other countries, but could make them itself.
This plan aims to boost local manufacturing.
Meanwhile, India is also talking to the European Union to try and create a free trade agreement, where they will discuss various areas of trade and hope to conclude it by the end of the year.
The Department of Commerce is identifying 100 products to reduce import dependency.
The selected products will be put in the public domain to encourage domestic manufacturing.
