Leaked Video Offers First Look at Apple’s Camera AirPods
Apple may be working on AirPods that have tiny cameras.
A leaked video appears to show someone using them to look at a book.
The AirPods could use what they see to help Siri answer questions.
They might also save information or take notes for the wearer.
Reports say the cameras would not normally take photos or videos.
Instead, they would act like eyes for Siri’s Visual Intelligence features.
Meta glasses can reportedly take photos and videos, while these AirPods would collect visual information in lower resolution.
Even so, people may worry that the AirPods could be misused to secretly observe or capture information.
A leaked video reportedly shows Apple AirPods with cameras in their earpieces.
The video depicts a user showing the camera a book title and asking Siri to save it.
Apple’s reported Visual Intelligence feature could identify surroundings, take notes, and save items for later.
Reports say the cameras are intended to provide low-resolution visual information, not take photos or videos.
Unlike Meta glasses, the AirPods reportedly would not directly capture photos, but privacy concerns remain.
