TMC MLA Claims Mamata Banerjee Directed Communal Remarks
A man named Humayun Kabir, who used to be a member of the Trinamool Congress party in West Bengal, said that the Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, told him to make speeches that would create tension between different religious groups.
He made these speeches to help another party member, Yusuf Pathan, win an election.
Later, Humayun Kabir apologized for his speeches, saying he was sorry for hurting the feelings of Hindu people.
He had also made a threat earlier, saying he would throw Hindus into a river if he couldn't win an election.
This has caused a big argument in the state, with the opposition party, BJP, asking for answers from the Trinamool Congress.
Suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir alleges Mamata Banerjee directed him to make communal remarks to ensure Yusuf Pathan's electoral victory.
Kabir claims he made provocative remarks against Hindu society on April 30, 2024, and May 1, 2024.
He publicly apologized for his remarks, expressing regret for hurting Hindu sentiments.
Kabir had previously threatened to throw Hindus into the Bhagirathi River during a political meeting.
