Farmer Grows Rare Miyazaki Mangoes on Terrace
A farmer named Joseph Lobo from India grew a special kind of mango called Miyazaki on his terrace.
These mangoes are very rare and expensive, costing a lot of money.
Joseph didn't know how valuable they were when he first grew them.
He used a big pot, special soil made from cow dung and other natural things, and took good care of the plant without using any harmful chemicals.
It took a long time, about 3.5 years, for the mango tree to grow and produce fruit.
Now, Joseph shares his knowledge with others who want to grow these special mangoes too.
Joseph Lobo, a farmer from Udupi, India, grew Miyazaki mangoes on his terrace without initially knowing their rarity and value.
Miyazaki mangoes are one of the most expensive fruits in the world, priced at Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh per kilogram.
Lobo used a large grow bag or pot and a nutrient-rich soil mix made from cow dung, sheep manure, homemade curd, and vegetable waste.
He avoided chemical insecticides and used a neem oil mixture for pest control, feeding the plant every 30 days with his special mixture.
It took the Miyazaki mango tree 3.5 years to yield its first fruit, and Lobo now shares his growing techniques with other aspiring farmers.
