ED Seizes Luxury Vehicles in Chhattisgarh 'Reagent Scam'
Imagine some people were trying to cheat the government when they were buying medical supplies.
The ED, a special investigation team, found out.
They took away a fancy Porsche and a Mercedes-Benz, which belonged to a company run by Shashank Chopda and his father.
The investigation is based on an older case about a scam in buying medical supplies where people made a plan to charge more money than they should.
The people involved are suspected of manipulating the process to make the state government pay too much.
This is not the first time something has been seized.
The ED is still looking into it.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized luxury vehicles in Chhattisgarh.
The seizure was conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
The vehicles seized include a Porsche Cayenne Coupe and a Mercedes-Benz.
The seizure is linked to a 'reagent procurement scam' involving Shashank Chopda.
This is part of an ongoing investigation based on an FIR registered by ACB/EOW.
