TTD Prepares for Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti
On February 1, a special event called Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti will take place in the forests of Tirumala.
Devotees will go on a tough six-kilometer walk through the forest to reach a sacred water body.
This water body is very special and is only accessible once a year.
The TTD, which manages the Tirumala temple, is making sure everything is safe for the devotees.
They will check everyone's health before the walk, provide food and water, and make sure there is medical help available.
Priests will perform special rituals at the water body.
The TTD wants to ensure that everyone stays safe and has a good experience.
Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti will be observed on February 1 at Tirumala, involving a challenging six-kilometer forest trek to a sacred teertha.
The teertha is one of the seven principal teerthas of Tirumala, believed to cleanse sins and provide spiritual upliftment.
TTD has implemented strict safety measures, including medical screening at Papavinasanam to prevent health risks during the trek.
Devotees will be allowed to undertake the trek only between 5 am and 12 noon, with private vehicles banned and RTC buses provided.
Special rituals, including abhishekams and pujas, will be performed by priests from the Tirumala temple at the teertha.
