BWF Tests 25-Second Timer at Indonesia Masters 2026
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is trying out a new rule at the Indonesia Masters 2026.
They want players to be ready to serve within 25 seconds after each rally.
This rule was also tested last year at the Australia Open.
The timer will be used in all matches, and the umpires will make sure everyone follows it.
The idea is to keep the game moving smoothly and make sure players are always prepared.
BWF is testing a 25-second timer between rallies at the Indonesia Masters Super 500.
The timer was previously tested at the Australia Open Super 500 last year.
Players must be ready to serve within 25 seconds after a rally ends.
The timer will be enforced in all matches, including qualifying and main draw.
The BWF aims to keep the game moving smoothly with this new rule.
