Chhattisgarh High Court Grants Divorce Over Continued Litigation

Chhattisgarh High Court Grants Divorce Over Continued Litigation

A husband asked the court to end his marriage.

He said his wife had treated him and his family badly, and also claimed she had a mental illness.

His wife denied his claims and accused him and his family of mistreating her and demanding money.

A lower court rejected the husband's request for divorce.

The Chhattisgarh High Court said there was not enough evidence to prove the claim about mental illness.

But it said the wife's continued legal challenges after the husband and his family were acquitted caused him mental distress.

The High Court overturned the lower court's decision and ended the marriage.
