Microsoft Invests $17.5B in India's AI Future
Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella, met with India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and announced a huge investment of US$17.5 billion to help India become a leader in AI.
This is Microsoft's biggest investment ever in Asia.
The money will be used to build new technology, teach people AI skills, and make India more self-reliant in technology.
Microsoft plans to train 20 million people in AI skills by 2030.
This investment is part of a bigger trend where big tech companies like Google and Amazon are also putting a lot of money into India's digital future.
Prime Minister Modi is excited about this investment and believes it will help India's youth innovate and use AI for a better world.
Microsoft will also build new cloud and AI infrastructure across India, including a large cloud region in Hyderabad.
