Punjab & Haryana HC Orders Regularisation of Long-Serving SSA Teachers in Chandigarh
The Punjab and Haryana High Court said teachers in Chandigarh who have worked for more than 10 years under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) program should be made permanent employees.
The court gave the government 6 weeks to do this, or the teachers will automatically become permanent after that time.
The court said these teachers were hired through a fair process and should not be kept as temporary workers indefinitely.
