Vishwanath and Sons Earns Rs 27.51 Crore on Opening Day
Suriya is a very famous actor in India who acts in movies made in the Tamil language.
His new movie is called Vishwanath and Sons.
In the movie, he plays an older man who used to be a pistol shooter in the Olympics.
The movie came out in theatres on August 14.
On its very first day, lots of people went to watch it.
It earned more than 27 crore rupees around the whole world that day.
In India, it earned about 15 crore rupees, and in other countries it earned 10 crore rupees.
It was shown in more than 5,000 theatres in India on the first day.

The Tamil version contributed Rs 9.15 crore and the Telugu version Rs 6 crore to the India net, across 5,034 shows with 41.38% overall Tamil occupancy.
