Auto Driver Arrested for Kidnapping and Murder of 1-Year-Old in Panchkula

A man named Ajay, who is an auto-rickshaw driver, was arrested for kidnapping and killing a 1-year-old boy named Riyans in Panchkula.

Ajay is the mother's lover and had met her on Instagram.

He took the child from a creche by pretending to be the father.

The police found the child's body under a culvert near Sukhomajri bypass.

Ajay was arrested by the police and confessed to the crime.

He said he disliked the child and wanted to eliminate him so he could meet the mother freely.

The police are also investigating if the creche staff were negligent in giving the child to Ajay without verifying his identity.
