Haryana Uses SAMRIDDHI to Cut Maternal, Neonatal Mortality

Haryana Uses SAMRIDDHI to Cut Maternal, Neonatal Mortality

Haryana is starting a system called SAMRIDDHI to help keep mothers and newborn babies safer.

Every pregnant woman will be registered in the system.

Her health information will be kept in one secure digital record.

The record can be updated whether she visits a government or private hospital.

Doctors and health workers will receive alerts about tests, deliveries and follow-up care.

Women with high-risk pregnancies will be checked more often than women with normal pregnancies.

A call centre staffed by trained nurses will give advice and help women reach the right hospital.

The goal is to find problems early and provide help quickly.
