New Leprechaun Horror Movie in the Works at Lionsgate
A long time ago, there was a funny but scary movie about a tiny creature called a Leprechaun who protects his pot of gold and does not like anyone touching it.
The very first movie came out in 1993, and a famous actress named Jennifer Aniston was in it before she became super famous.
Altogether, eight Leprechaun movies have been made over the years.
Now, a big movie company called Lionsgate wants to make a brand new Leprechaun movie.
They have hired two writers, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, who have written many scary movies before.
Two movie makers named Oren Koules and his son Miles will help make the new movie.
Nobody knows yet what the new story will be about because it is a secret.
Oren Koules also worked on the famous Saw scary movies, which made over one billion dollars.
Lionsgate has owned the Leprechaun movies since the year 2000.
The movie is still just being planned, so we will have to wait to see it.
Lionsgate is developing a new 'Leprechaun' film written by horror veterans Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.
Oren Koules and his son Miles Koules will produce through their Koulest Productions banner.
The plot is being kept under wraps, with Dan Heffner and Ketura Kestin executive producing.
This follows a 2024 attempt with Felipe Vargas attached to direct a script by Mike Van Waes.
The cult horror-comedy franchise spans eight films released between 1993 and 2018.
Oren Koules previously produced all 10 'Saw' films, which earned over a billion dollars at the box office.
