Bengal Government's Tata Talks and Rs 28,000 Crore Investment Push

Bengal Government's Tata Talks and Rs 28,000 Crore Investment Push

The new government of West Bengal in India, led by Suvendu Adhikari, wants lots of companies to build factories and businesses in the state.

The government has been in charge for four months, after the previous party, the Trinamool Congress, led the state for 15 years.

They are talking to the Tata Group, a very big company, to come back to West Bengal.

Many years ago, Tata moved its car factory away because of protests about land.

The government now wants to buy land directly and give it to companies, so there won't be land fights.

They promise to give land to at least 25 industries within a month.

Companies have already promised to invest more than 28,000 crore rupees.

This includes big hospitals, a steel factory, and railway projects.

The government wants to create jobs so people don't move away to other states.

They also want to support old industries like tea and jute, plus new ones like semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
