Activist urges inclusion of widows in Makar Sankranti rituals
A social activist named Pramod Zinjade is asking people to include widows in the Makar Sankranti festival.
He says it's not fair to leave them out because they are widows.
He wants widows to be able to light lamps, pray, and offer food to gods.
He also wants educated and brave widows to organize special programs for other widows in their villages.
Some villages already include widows, and he is happy about that.
