The mother, Seema Kandari, filed a complaint alleging physical and mental harassment over dowry and repeated humiliation calling her “inauspicious.”
A 56‑second video from the victim, posted after her death, shows her saying “I can’t bear it anymore” and accusing the in‑laws of mistreatment.
Police registered the case under Section 80(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Doiwala police station.
