International mutual funds reopen selectively as overseas limits constrain investments
Some international mutual funds are allowing investors to add money, while others are not.
Baroda BNP Paribas Aqua FoF currently accepts both lump-sum investments and new SIPs.
Three Invesco funds accept new SIPs but not lump-sum investments or switch-ins.
The Invesco funds have a combined daily SIP limit of ₹10 lakh for each PAN.
PGIM India Global Select Real Estate Securities FoF is expected to accept lump-sum investments again on 8 October.
It will not accept new SIP registrations at that time, although existing SIPs can continue.
These changes happen because Indian mutual funds have limits on how much they can invest overseas.
Funds can reopen when redemptions or falling overseas asset values create additional capacity.
As of 29 September 2026, only Baroda BNP Paribas Aqua FoF accepted lump-sum investments among 60 international funds tracked by Value Research.
Invesco reopened three funds on 28 September but stopped accepting lump-sum investments and switch-ins again from 29 September.
The three Invesco funds continue accepting new SIP registrations, subject to a combined ₹10 lakh daily limit per PAN.
PGIM India Global Select Real Estate Securities FoF is scheduled to reopen for lump-sum investments on 8 October, while new SIP registrations remain closed.
International funds may close to fresh investments when mutual funds approach overseas investment limits, reopening when capacity becomes available.
