Air India Reports ₹10,859 Crore Loss in Fiscal Year 2025
Air India, a big airline, lost a lot of money, about ₹10,859 crore, in a year.
This happened after the airline combined with other airlines owned by the same company.
Even though the airline made a lot of money, it still lost money.
However, the losses have gone down for the main part of the airline.
The smaller, cheaper part of the airline lost more money because it got bigger and had to pay for new planes and currency changes.
The company says things should get better in the next couple of years as they improve how they make money and replace old planes.
Air India reported a consolidated net loss of ₹10,859 crore in FY25.
The airline's revenue for the same period was ₹78,636 crore.
The results are the first after consolidating four Tata group airlines into two.
Air India's standalone losses decreased by 21% and revenue grew by 13.5%.
Air India Express's loss widened due to fleet expansion and forex impacts.
