Apple Unveils Next-Gen CarPlay Ultra, Debuts with Aston Martin
Imagine your car's screen is like your phone's, but bigger and better!
Apple has updated CarPlay, now called CarPlay Ultra, to work even closer with your car.
It shows important things like how fast you're going and where you're going, right in front of you.
It also lets you control things in your car like music and air conditioning using your voice or the car's buttons.
It's starting with cars like Aston Martins, so you can see all this cool stuff on the car's screens, like your phone apps but designed for your car!
If you have an iPhone 12 or newer, it should work if your car is compatible.
Apple announced the next-generation CarPlay Ultra, offering deeper vehicle integration.
CarPlay Ultra provides information across all driver screens, including the instrument cluster.
The new system is available on Aston Martin's core vehicle lineup in the US and Canada.
Existing vehicles will receive the infotainment suite via a software update.
CarPlay Ultra works with iPhone 12 or newer models running iOS 18.5 or later.
