Doraiswamy Recommended for LIC CEO & MD by FSIB
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has chosen R Doraiswamy to be the next boss of India's Life Insurance Corporation (LIC).
Doraiswamy is already a Managing Director at LIC, since September 2023.
The FSIB talked to four people who wanted the job on June 11, 2025.
Until Doraiswamy starts, Sat Pal Bhanoo is in charge as CEO & MD.
Bhanoo's temporary role began on June 8, 2025 and lasts until September 7, 2025, or until a new boss is found.
FSIB recommended R Doraiswamy for CEO & MD of LIC.
Doraiswamy has been MD at LIC since September 2023.
FSIB interviewed four candidates for the position on June 11, 2025.
Sat Pal Bhanoo is temporarily assigned CEO & MD powers.
Bhanoo's interim charge lasts until September 7, 2025, or until a permanent CEO is appointed.
