Apple's Foldable iPhone May Be eSIM-Only
Apple might be making a new iPhone that folds like a book.
This iPhone, called the iPhone Fold, might not have a regular SIM card slot and will only use eSIMs.
eSIMs are digital SIM cards that let you switch phone plans without a physical card.
The iPhone Fold could have two screens: a small one on the outside and a bigger one inside.
It might also have a powerful new chip and a special battery.
The camera could be hidden under the screen.
Some people might need time to get used to the eSIM change, especially in places like China and India, but big phone companies there already offer eSIM services.
Apple is trying to make this new iPhone very advanced and easy to use.
Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone, the iPhone Fold, may only support eSIM technology, removing the physical SIM tray.
The device is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch foldable inner screen.
Apple may have addressed the crease issue common in other foldable devices, aiming for a seamless interior screen.
The iPhone Fold is expected to run on the A20 Pro chip with a 2-nanometre process and a new silicon-carbon battery.
The device may include a 24-megapixel under-display front camera and have a book-style design similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold.
