Roblox Mandates Age Verification in India
Roblox, a popular online gaming platform, is now asking users in India to verify their age to chat with others.
This new rule starts on January 14.
Roblox says it's the first big gaming platform in India to require age checks for all users.
Earlier, they started this in Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands, and more than half of the users there have already done the age check.
This is to make sure that kids and teens can chat safely with people their own age.
Roblox is rolling out age verification in India starting January 14.
Users must complete an age check to access chat features.
Roblox claims to be the first large gaming platform in India to require age verification for all users.
The verification process was previously introduced in Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.
Over 50% of daily active users in those regions have completed the age check.
