Loreto College Announces Co‑Ed Admission, Curriculum Changes for 2027-28
Loreto College, a school that used to admit only girls, is getting a new status that lets it make its own rules.
Because of this, it will start letting boys join in 2027‑28.
The teachers said they will change some parts of the lessons, but keep the good ones from the old system.
They also plan to bring in real‑world experts to teach.
The school said the cost for students will stay the same for now, but may change later.
Loreto College will admit boys starting the 2027‑28 academic session.
The college gained autonomous status on July 21, 2023, allowing curriculum redesign.
Syllabus changes will be 5‑20%, retaining strong Calcutta University components.
New "Professors of Practice" program will bring industry professionals into teaching.
Fees will be revised in future, but not for the current 2026‑27 batch.
