Delhi Man Booked for Misusing PM Modi's Name
A man from Delhi named Nisheeth Kohli sent emails to important Indian and foreign agencies, including the Pentagon.
He claimed that he had the support of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to help develop a military jet engine for India.
He said he was a textile engineer and could help with this project.
The Prime Minister's Office found out that he was using their names without permission and reported him to the police.
The police have now taken action against him for misleading these agencies.
CBI booked Nisheeth Kohli for misusing PM Modi and P K Mishra's names in emails to Indian and foreign agencies.
Kohli claimed to have PM Modi's blessings to develop an indigenous military jet engine.
Emails were sent to PMO, ISRO, HAL, DRDO, Pentagon, and other agencies.
PMO lodged a complaint in March 2023, leading to a CBI investigation.
