Haryana Rights Body Criticizes Police Probe into Teenager's Bonded Labour Case
A boy from Bihar got lost at a train station in Haryana.
Someone took him to a farm and made him work without paying him, which is called bonded labour and is against the law.
While working, he got hurt very badly and lost his left arm.
He managed to walk a long way to another town where a teacher found him and called the police.
The Human Rights Commission looked at the police's investigation, but they said the police didn't do a good enough job.
They didn't know exactly where the farm was or who hurt the boy.
So, the Commission told the police they must investigate better, find the people responsible, and make sure the boy gets help.
The police have promised to look into it more and report back soon.
The Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) has criticized the police investigation into a bonded labour case involving a teenager from Bihar as 'incomplete, vague, and lacking in vital details'.
The boy was allegedly abducted from Bahadurgarh Railway Station and forced to work at a dairy farm, where he sustained a severe injury losing his left arm.
The HHRC noted the police report failed to identify the precise location of the dairy farm or the perpetrators of the alleged abduction, confinement, and assault.
The Commission has ordered an immediate and comprehensive investigation, demanding the arrest of the accused and a report on rehabilitation plans for the injured child.
The HHRC has scheduled a further hearing for November 27, requiring police officials to appear in person with the complete investigation record.
