BCCI Opens Applications for Agarkar's Men’s Selection Committee Successor
The BCCI is looking for someone to fill one place on India’s men’s cricket selection committee.
The opening came after Ajit Agarkar’s time as chairman ended on October 4, 2026.
Agarkar had told the board he would not ask to stay longer.
Pragyan Ojha is leading the committee for now, alongside Shiv Sundar Das, Ajay Ratra, and RP Singh.
Applications are due by 5 p.m.
on October 14, 2026.
Applicants need to have played enough cricket and must have retired at least five years ago.
Someone who has spent five years in total on a BCCI Cricket Committee cannot apply.
The new selector will help choose the national team, find promising players, and report on the team’s performance.
