Madras High Court Orders Actor Vishal to Pay Lyca 21.29 Crore
Imagine Lyca Productions lent money to actor Vishal.
The Madras High Court has said that Vishal needs to pay back a lot of money – over 21 crore!
This all started because Vishal borrowed money from another company, and Lyca Productions paid that company for him.
Vishal promised to pay Lyca back, but didn't.
The court also found that Vishal didn't follow previous court orders and tried to sell the rights to his movies, even though he was supposed to use them to pay back the loan.
So now, he has to pay up!
Madras High Court directed actor Vishal to pay 21.29 crore with 30% interest to Lyca Productions.
The order was based on a plea by Lyca Productions for loan repayment.
The court had earlier directed Vishal to deposit 15 crore as security.
The court condemned Vishal for breaching court orders and undertakings.
The original loan was from Gopuram Films, later settled by Lyca.
