Fire Guts Jaipur Walled-City Shops as Narrow Lanes Hamper Response
A large fire started in a shopping complex in Jaipur on Thursday morning.
It began on the second floor, where a bangle warehouse was located.
The fire spread to many nearby shops selling items such as clothes, plastic goods, cosmetics, and bangles.
About 15 to 20 shops were destroyed, and more were damaged.
Firefighters worked for almost seven hours to control the flames.
The lanes were so narrow that fire engines could not reach the building directly.
Firefighters used long hoses and water brought by private tankers.
No one was hurt because the market was closed and few people were inside.
